Favorite exercise/exercise to teach is all fours seat work! Not only are we working the Glutes and Hamstrings, but there is so much upper body and core work happening to stabilize in this position.
I played Division I Collegiate Soccer at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was subsequently commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army where I served for 5 years. At the time my Service concluded, I had achieved the rank of Captain, stationed in Colorado Springs as part of the Army’s only active Space Brigade.
I love how Barre makes you feel sore in places you didn’t know you had. I also love that it’s music based and fun!
Before moving back to the Central Coast, I had been taking Barre for a couple of years while living in Colorado. As I was settling back into California, my parents were in the process of opening Stability Studio. Given my love of fitness and Barre experience, coupled with my leadership skills learned while in the Army, becoming an Instructor and helping to shape the creation and development of Stability Studio felt like a natural fit.
